The article outlines the various challenges affecting human resource management and how organizations are helping employees cope and adjust to the dynamic work environment. The COVID-19 pandemic has created a challenging situation for managers in their effort to help employees cope and adapt to the changes. Discussion

According to the author, the manager may consider an inclusive and creative approach that supports all employees, especially the vulnerable single mothers and unprivileged family status (Carnevale & Hatak, 2020, P. 10). The manager can enhance a relationship-oriented system that helps deal with the challenge of social and physical isolation among employee, that helps them prepare for unprecedented events in the future. Managers facing difficulties to manage employees can use the relationship-oriented human resource systems to build close ties with employees (Kehoe & Collins, 2017), that creates a possible shock that enhances training and feedback. Managers need to understand the impact of extreme family demands during the COVID-19 pandemic, and the increased levels of self-responsibility on employees (Carnevale & Hatak, 2020, P. 7). Finally, understanding how employees cope with the organization, to develop practical implications that support individuals to cope with the work-family relationship.

Article 2: Forbes. The impact of the coronavirus on HR and the new normal of work.

The author Meister (2020), outlines the significant challenges that organizations are facing in the current pandemic, and the possible trends that may shape the future of doing business. The transformation experienced during the current pandemic crisis will transform the workplace, and accelerate the future of work initiatives for the rest of 2020. The article indicates the need for organizations to improve their training and investment in remote working and the focus on the future well-being of employees. During the COVID-19 pandemic, many companies are encouraging their employees to work remotely, an aspect that comes with the emotional implications of managing children, home, and self-care. With the growth of the digital economy, improving the worker's well-being will be an important aspect of productivity.

Discussion

The article provides managers with essential tips that can help manage employees and improve productivity during the pandemic. Managers can ease their future responsibilities in managing employees by investing and training employees in remote working. To ensure productivity and competitiveness are improved in organizations, Meister (2020) argues that the managers need to provide their employees with appropriate support and experience required to instill greater well-being. Today, the future of work is the future of worker's well-being. Managers can take advantage of their current crisis to ease employee management by using cross-training, re-skilling, and creating new products that better prepare employees for future pandemics. As the COVID-19 crisis continues to cause disruptions in the way of doing business, managers and specifically human resource managers can improve productivity by focusing on digitizing talent supply-chain and investing in remote working.
